Directing a Creative Documentary and Facing with International Mechanisms

Documentary cinema is a small world. At the same time, the documentary filmmaker has to know different languages. Not only the language of cinema and ways of creative confrontation with the surrounding society, knowing the language of international interactions and co-production is one of the necessities of documentary filmmaking in today's world.

This course is suitable for filmmakers who have a history of making documentary films. The first day of this workshop will be held interactively, and therefore it is suggested that filmmakers participate in the class with an idea for a documentary film.

How is the artist's creative encounter with the raw material of "reality"?

● Creative development of ideas: directing from design to production
● Writing a documentary film file in line with international partnerships along with the review of successful examples
Night: Screening of one of last year's successful documentary films, examining the reasons for the film's success along with interaction and discussion

second day
What is the international language of creative documentary film? How is the filmmaker's relationship with sponsors, producers and festivals?

● Introduction of financial sponsors and film markets
● Pitching and presentation of the project
● Joint production and contract
● Broadcast
