Fiber Art

This workshop is held in four days with four different topics in theoretical and practical form, and during the course, students will experience the performance of a fabric artwork and learn various techniques of working with fabric and fibers.

The first topic

General description of the course and what will happen in each session, basic definitions about fabric artworks and their characteristics.

Acquaintance with the artists of this field and technical review of their works for a better understanding of the design and implementation techniques of textile science (practical), familiarization with the types of embroidery and fabric sewing, its implementation techniques/mixing materials (practical), introduction and review of the artists of this technique (theory)

The second topic

Familiarization with types of hand printing on fabric, direct printing / lino / wood / trafford / bandana / painting on fabric / Trumpet and... (practical), introduction and review of artists of this technique (theory)

The third topic

Tapestry and texture (practical), introduction and review of artists of this technique (theory)

The fourth topic

Fabric collage and fabric making (practical), introducing and examining the artists of this technique (theory)

The workshop is held every day from 10 am to 6 pm at Arxe school.
